We still can’t recommend using a Resolve Color Managed workflow with RED’s IPP2 output DRT because it causes lifted blacks that can be seen in the title cards that precede and follow videos made in this manner. This doesn’t happen when using RED’s output transform LUT in a node-based color managed workflow, which is what we recommend. You can see the lifted blacks in the waveform monitor, where they are resting just above zero.

I confirmed the unfortunate behavior of the lifted blacks, and there is no workaround. It’s sad because it’s otherwise so convenient for choosing a hard or soft highlight rolloff, and inbetween. As always, there are countless other ways to control highlight rolloff. Have you asked BMD about this bug? I suspect it’s not a problem with Resolve as DRTs are provided by the manufacturer, in this case Red.
BMD support told me they’d pass along the info to their engineers.
I didn’t see an available OFX CST for IPP2 in a node based color managed workflow. Perhaps I missed one but I did look.
There isn’t one.
