Apple TV (3rd gen) Crackling Noises & Sony Bravia A95L

We reached out to Sony concerning crackling sounds and audio dropouts when watching Netflix and Apple TV+ shows with the Apple TV media player. We also informed Sony that many others have experienced similar issues with Apple TV and different brands of televisions and that the problem might not be with our Bravia A95L. Nevertheless, Sony support assured us that they’re working on a solution, leading us to believe that the fault might not be with the player after all. Here’s their response:

“Regarding the first issue you mentioned about the TV experiencing crackling sound during usage, we assure you that Sony is actively working on developing new software to upgrade the TV and address this issue promptly. At the moment, there is no specific timeframe for the release of the firmware update, but we kindly ask for your understanding and patience. We will strive to introduce the update as soon as possible.”
