DaVinci Resolve firmware update 17.4.6 addresses an issue that caused the app to crash when using some of the HDR controls with Apple Silicon. Prior to the update, clicking on any of the range indicators in the HDR palette – the small icon to the upper left of each of the HDR wheels that allows you to see which parts of the image will be affected by the controls of that zone – would cause Resolve to shut down. The ability to manipulate the HDR controls to target specific tonal regions of the image is among the most useful features of the HDR palette. Thankfully, it’s been fixed now.

Holy sheet. If that doesn’t tell how much they care bout HDR….
I tried once or twice isolating tonal regions in Final Cut Pro using the HSL qualifier but eventually gave up in despair! 😆
